Dr. Huang is the Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities at the University of Regina, Canada, and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Environmental Informatics (International Society for Environmental Information Sciences), 2021 - (SCI IF = 10.22, JCR Q1);
Editor of Journal of Water and Climate Change (IWA Publishing), 2021 - (SCI IF = 2.803)

Dr. Huang holds Ph.D. from McMaster University. His research has focused on the planning of energy and environmental systems, synchrotron-based environmental chemistry and biochemistry, climate modeling and downscaling and simulation of hydrological and environmental systems. He has supervised over 100 graduate students over the past decades.
Dr. Huang has received over 200 research grants and contracts, 8 NSERC Strategic Grants, plus over 20 other NSERC grants. He has published over 1000 peer-refereed journal papers, with an SCI-based H-index of 78 in the Science Citation Index under Web of Science and the SCI Citation = over 37,000. Dr. Huang was recognized as one of the most cited researchers in Environmental Science and Engineering, Elsevier, 2016, and was recognized by the Web of Science Group for 0.1% of the world's researchers across 21 research fields in 2019.

Short Biography
Dr. Gabbar is a full Professor in the Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science, and cross appointed in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, at Ontario Tech University (UOIT), where he has established the Energy Safety and Control Lab (ESCL), Smart Energy Systems Lab, and Advanced Plasma Engineering Lab. He is the recipient of the Senior Research Excellence Aware for 2016, UOIT. He is recognized among the top 2% of worldwide scientists with high citation in the area of energy. He is a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE NPSS. He is leading national and international research in the areas of smart energy grids, energy safety and control systems, and waste to energy using advanced plasma technologies. Dr. Gabbar obtained his B.Sc. degree in 1988 with first class of honor from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University (Egypt). In 2001, he obtained his Ph.D. degree from Okayama University (Japan). From 2001 till 2004, he joined Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan), as a research associate. From 2004 till 2008, he joined Okayama University (Japan) as an Associate Professor, in the Division of Industrial Innovation Sciences. From 2007 till 2008, he was a Visiting Professor at the University of Toronto. He also worked as process control, safety, and automation specialist in energy and oil & gas industries. Dr. Gabbar has more than 230 publications, including patents, books / chapters, journals, and conference papers.

Short Biography
Prof. Shunli Wang is a Doctoral Supervisor, Academic Dean, Academic Leader of the National Electrical Safety and Quality Testing Center, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Provincial Senior Overseas Talent, Provincial level scientific and technological talents, Academic and Technical Leader of China Science and Technology City, and top 2% of top scientists in the world, who is an authoritative expert in renewable energy research. His research interests include modeling, state estimation, and safety management for energy storage systems. 56 projects have been undertaken, including the projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Provincial Science and Technology Department. 258 research papers have been published (Research Interest Score: 11547; Citations: 3167; h-index: 29). 53 intellectual property rights have been applied, of which 23 authorizations have been approved. 9 books have been published by famous publishers such as Elsevier and IET. 23 honorary titles or awards have been achieved, such as young scholars and leading experts of innovative talent teams. Also, the team has been continuously supported by the "University & Enterprise Innovative Talent Team Support Plan" and unanimously praised by employers and peer experts.

Short Biography
Professor Wang enjoys his research in cooling and power engineering, energy storage and conversion, desalination and utilization of renewable energy. He is named as Field Leader in Thermal Science by the Australian Research Magazine in 2018. He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and member of the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies. He won the DAAD visiting fellowship by DAAD Germany in 2003 and Ludwig Mond Prize 2005, by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) of United Kingdom. He won the Australian China Young Scientist Exchange Program award in 2009 and the Australian Japan Emerging Research Leader Program award in 2016 by the Australia Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE). He received “Dean's Award” for outstanding research performance in 2016.  He is Subject Editor of Applied Thermal Engineering, Associate Editor of IMechE Part E: Journal of Process Engineering, Scientific reports and Frontiers in Built Environment, Topic Editor of Applied Sciences, Energies, sustainability and thermos, Editorial board member for five other international journals. He has completed many national/international research projects with a total value of more than $7 million. He is Co-CI of Blue Economic CRC ($329 million). He has published more than 230 international journal and conference papers with an H-index of 41 (Google Scholar).

Short Biography
Dr. Han received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 2010. In 2010, he joined the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, where he has been an Associate Professor in 2013, and Full professor in 2021. From March 2014 to March 2015, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark. He is currently with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, UESTC. His research interests include the ac/dc microgrids, active distribution networks, power quality, grid-connected converters for renewable energy systems, active power filters, multilevel converters, and static synchronous compensators (STATCOMs).
Dr. Han has received several national and provincial projects, and more than 30 industrial projects in the area of power electronics, smart grid, microgrid, and power quality analysis and compensation. He holds more than 40 issued and pending patents. Dr. Han was listed as “World's Top 2% Scientist 2022” by Stanford University in 2022, and the recipient of the Young Scientist Award in CPESE 2021, the Provincial Science and Technology Award in 2020 and 2022, Science and Technology Award from Sichuan Electric Power Company in 2019, Academic Talent Award by UESTC, in 2017, Baekhyun Award by the Korean Institute of Power Electronics, in 2016. He has published a book “Modeling and Control of Power Electronic Converters for Microgrid Applications”, ISBN: 978-3-030-74512-7, Springer. He served as an Associate Editor of Journal of Power Electronics and IEEE ACCESS (2019-2020).

Dr. Kwun Nam Hui is an Associate Professor at Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering, University of Macau, Macao, China. He holds Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Kwun Nam Hui's research interests include Materials science and engineering, Chemical engineering, Nanomaterials, Graphene materials, Electrochemical energy storage and conversion (Na-ion batteries, flexible supercapacitors, fuel cell)
Dr. Kwun Nam Hui has published over 200 SCI journals, with a WoS-based h-index of 52 and citations of 7824. Dr. Kwun Nam Hui served as the Editorial Board of Crystals, 2022. Prof. Dr. Mohan Lal Kolhe

Short Biography
Prof. Dr. Mohan Lal Kolhe is a full professor in smart grid and renewable energy at the Faculty of Engineering and Science of the University of Agder (Norway). He is a leading renewable energy technologist with three decades of academic experience at the international level and previously held academic positions at the world's prestigious universities, e.g., University College London (UK / Australia), University of Dundee (UK); University of Jyvaskyla (Finland); Hydrogen Research Institute, QC (Canada); etc. In addition, he was a member of the Government of South Australia's first Renewable Energy Board (2009-2011) and worked on developing renewable energy policies.
Professor Kolhe is an expert evaluator of many prestigious international research councils (e.g., European Commission: Erasmus+ Higher Education – International Capacity Building, Royal Society London (UK), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC UK), Cyprus Research Foundation, etc.). In addition, many international organizations have invited him to deliver keynote addresses, expert lectures, workshops, etc. He has also been a member of many academic promotional committees.
Professor Kolhe has successfully won competitive research funding from the prestigious research councils (e.g., Norwegian Research Council, EU, EPSRC, BBSRC, NRP, etc.) for his work on sustainable energy systems. His research works in energy systems have been recognized within the top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University's 2020, 2021 matrices. He is an internationally recognized pioneer in his field, who's top 10 published works have an average of over 175 citations each.

Short Biography
Oveis Abedinia holds a B.S, M.Sc, and PhD (first honor) in Electrical Engineering. He began working as a Post-doc and part-time faculty member at Budapest University of Technology, Budapest, Hungary in 2015, and subsequently started constructing various solar power plants in 2017. He then joined Ardabil Science and Technology Park as Head of International Relations. From 2019 to 2023, he successfully oversaw the construction of over 250 solar power plants, varying in size from small to large scale. In 2019, he joined Nazarbayev University as a research fellow until 2023. In 2024, he stablished an institute in energy field in Iran, and currently is a head of this institute. Dr. Abedinia also serves as an Editor for several international journals. He has published over 120 articles and books in various high-ranking journals and conferences with 3976 citations in google scholar and 32 h-index. His research interests include Optimization, Machine Learning, Power System Operations and Forecasting. He is Editor in different journals such as Complexity and guest editor in Energies. His interest areas are Operation in Power systems, Forecasting, Optimization Methods, Energy Management and Sustainable Energy.

Dr. Saeid Gholami Farkoush received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Azad University, Ardebil, Iran, in 2005, the M.S. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Science and Research Branch, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, South Korea, in 2017. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Yeungnam University. His current research interest includes power factor correction system for EV chargers in the smart grid by using FACTS devices.

Prof. Xiao Xiaonan, Ph.D. academic advisor, and vice dean of the Department of Information and Computational Science at Xiamen University Tan Kah Kee College. He is the Associate Dean of the College of Information Science and Technology and a member of the International Association for Biostatistics & International Statistics Association. Professor Xiao is the executive director of the Biological Mathematical Society & Mathematical Society of Fujian Province. He has been awarded The Distinguished Teacher of Higher Education in Fujian Province. His expertise mainly focuses on the studies of complex systems modeling and optimal control. He has published 124 articles in important journals and 23 academic works and textbooks. He was awarded numerous nationwide and international prizes in research and teaching, including 69 research projects that have won national, provincial, and college awards (33-first awards, 13-second awards, 10-third awards, and 13-excellence awards).

Dr. Boyu Qin received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2016. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China.
Dr. Qin's main research interests include power system stability analysis and control, integrated energy systems, power system planning and operation, energy policy and low carbon economy, energy storage technologies and MMC-HVDC transmission systems. He is the author of about 60 journal and conference papers indexed by SCI/EI, holds more than 10 invention patents. Dr. Qin is a recipient of the Second Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific and Technological Research of Shaanxi Universities. He received the Excellent Paper Award 3 times in international academic conferences. He has served as an active reviewer for several IEEE Transactions, IET series, and other international journals. He is an associate editor of Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems.
 
Prof. Yifei Wu

Short Biography
Prof. Yifei Wu received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, in 2008 and 2015, respectively. He is currently with the State Key Laboratory of Electrical Insulation and Power Equipment Xi'an Jiaotong University. His research interests include novel dc interruption principle and power electronic switching technology. Prof. Wu has led over 10 research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Chinese Defense Advance Research Program of Science and Technology, Shaanxi Province Key Research Plan, and State Grid Corporation Technology Project. He has published over 60 SCI/EI papers in high impact journals, of which 30 are first/corresponding author SCI papers. He has given 2 invited presentations at international conferences. Prof. Wu is a Senior Member of IEEE. He has been granted 19 national invention patents, 9 US patents and 2 European patents.
