Best Paper Award



The organizing committee of ATEEE-24 has installed the best award in the name of “Professor Srikanta Patnaik Best Paper Award” from the year 2024. Prof. Srikanta Patnaik was associated with ATEEE series from very beginning. The winner of the best paper award shall receive a citation and reimbursement of the registration fee for the paper presentation.


Short Bio-Data of Prof. Srikanta Patnaik:

Prof. Srikanta Patnaik is Director of I.I.M.T., Bhubaneswar, India. He has received his Ph. D. (Engineering) on Computational Intelligence from Jadavpur University, India in 1999. He has supervised more than 30 Ph. D. Theses and 100 Master theses in the area of Computational Intelligence, Machine Learning, Soft Computing Applications and Re-Engineering. Dr. Patnaik has published around 100 research papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He is author of 2 textbooks and 55 edited volumes and few invited book chapters, published by leading international publisher like IEEE, Elsevier, Springer-Verlag, Kluwer Academic, etc.
Dr. Srikanta Patnaik is the Editors-in-Chief of International Journal of Information and Communication Technology and International Journal of Computational Vision and Robotics published from Inderscience Publishing House, England and, Editor of Journal of Information and Communication Convergence Engineering and Associate Editor of Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems (JIFS), which are all Scopus Index journals.
He is also Editors-in-Chief of Book Series on “Modeling and Optimization in Science and Technology” published from Springer, Germany and Advances in Computer and Electrical Engineering (ACEE) and Advances in Medical Technologies and Clinical Practice (AMTCP), published by IGI Global, USA.
He is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE) and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). He is also Fellow of IETE, Life Member of ISTE, and CSI. Dr. Patnaik has visited more than 20 countries across the globe and visiting professors to some of the universities.

Dr. Oveis Abedinia
Electrical and Computer Engineering, Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan.
He joins to Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2015 as Post-doc researcher and adjunct faculty member. In 2017 he started to construct different solar power plants in middle-east countries as project manager and then joins to Ardabil Techno-Park as Head of International Relations. Dr. Abedinia started his cooperation with Nazarbayev University from 2019 as visiting professor. He is Editor in different journals such as Complexity and guest editor in Energies. He has authored and co-authored more than 110 peer-reviewed publications (journal and conference papers), in addition to 4 book and book-chapters.

Dr. Saeid Gholami Farkoush

Short Biography
Dr. Saeid Gholami Farkoush received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Azad University, Ardebil, Iran, in 2005, the M.S. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Science and Research Branch, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, South Korea, in 2017. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Yeungnam University. His current research interest includes power factor correction system for EV chargers in the smart grid by using FACTS devices.
Prof. Yifei Wu
State Key Laboratory of Electrical Insulation and Power Equipment, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China.

Short Biography
Prof. Yifei Wu received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, in 2008 and 2015, respectively., He is currently with the State Key Laboratory of Electrical Insulation and Power Equipment Xi'an Jiaotong University. His research interests include novel dc interruption principle and power electronic switching technology. Prof. Wu has led over 10 research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Chinese Defense Advance Research Program of Science and Technology, Shaanxi Province Key Research Plan, and State Grid Corporation Technology Project. He has published over 60 SCI/EI papers in high impact journals, of which 30 are first/corresponding author SCI papers. He has given 2 invited presentations at international conferences. Prof. Wu is a Senior Member of IEEE. He has been granted 19 national invention patents, 9 US patents and 2 European patents.
